Description
Spanish gamefowl are a European game family kept today for exhibition and heritage breeding. They are small to medium birds with an upright, elegant carriage, and the variety runs from clean white through light and mottled color patterns. Most carry a single comb, and breed typical weights run about 4 to 6 lb on a small to medium frame.
A Spanish rooster earns his place in a heritage yard on bearing rather than bulk. The breed’s tight feather and confident stance photograph well and show well. We keep a small number of Spanish birds alongside our American lines, all raised and photographed here, which is why keepers who want to buy quality gamefowl online start with our yard. One housing note: mature males are territorial toward other males, so plan on one rooster per pen.

What you receive
The bird pictured is the photographed actual bird for its option, and any substitution of equal grade is agreed with you first. Our flock’s National Poultry Improvement Plan enrollment covers Pullorum-Typhoid testing and supplies the paperwork required for interstate poultry movement. Orders include that NPIP paperwork, USPS Express shipping nationwide in ventilated, USPS approved boxes, and a live arrival guarantee, with pullets, pairs, and a trio available. A trio joins one male with two females as a starter breeding unit, and for a rarer family like the Spanish it is the practical way to establish the line in a single order.
