Description
The Silver Pencil Cochin Bantam is a fluffy little chicken, thanks to an abundance of feathers right down to its feet. The pencil plumage color consists of narrow concentric black rings circling just inside the web of each white feather. The result is a majestic black-and-white appearance, topped off with a bright red single comb.
Cochin Bantams are famously calm and kid friendly. They also don’t mind confinement, so they are perfect for the backyard where space is limited. In fact, close confinement offers good protection, as these little birds are not always fast-moving enough to evade predators.
